Excitement for a new NFL season is always palpable, especially at this time of the year when NFL fans know exactly who they’re favorite team is playing and exactly when they’re playing those games. As the 2024-2025 schedule drops, Bills Mafia is gearing up for another thrilling year. In this breakdown, we'll dive into each game and what it means for the Bills this upcoming season.

Preseason: A Glimpse into the Future

While preseason games may not carry the weight of regular-season matchups, they offer a glimpse into the team's potential and the development of younger players. The debut of Caleb Williams, a highly anticipated rookie quarterback, adds an extra layer of excitement.

Week 1: vs. Arizona Cardinals | 1 p.m. | CBS

The Bills' season opener at home against the Arizona Cardinals ignites the season with anticipation and enthusiasm. Kyler Murray is now fully healthy, and the newly drafted Marvin Harrsion Jr. makes this offense much scarier than last year’s.

Week 2: at Miami Dolphins | 8:15 p.m. | Prime Video

Facing the Miami Dolphins in prime time on the road is a significant early-season test for the Bills. With their young talent and aggressive defense, the Dolphins aim to dethrone the Bills in the AFC East. Allen's ability to navigate the Dolphins' pressure while the Bills' defense contains Tua Tagovailoa will be critical in securing a crucial divisional win.

Week 3: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars | 7:30 p.m. | ESPN

A Monday Night Football clash against the Jacksonville Jaguars has some “revenge game” implications, with Mitch Morse and Gabe Davis now on the team. The Buffalo Bills always seem to lose to the Jaguars. For Bills fans everywhere, we hope to see that change this year.

Week 4: at Baltimore Ravens | 8:20 p.m. | NBC

A primetime matchup to end a stretch of the primetime games is against the Baltimore Ravens features a duel of dual-threat quarterbacks in Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. The Ravens acquired Derrick Henry in the offseason. That acqustition alone makes the Ravens a very scary team to face this year.

Week 5: at Houston Texans | 1 p.m. | CBS

Surprisingly in a non-primetime game the Bills will be traveling to face the Houston Texans in Week 5. The Bills confront a team with newfound energy and talent. The emergence of CJ Stroud at quarterback adds intrigue, testing Buffalo's secondary and pass rush. This game will be the top 3 circled games of the 2024-25 Buffalo Bills season by all of Bills Mafia as Stefon Diggs will face his former team.

Week 6: at New York Jets | 8:15 p.m. | ESPN

A divisional showdown under the Monday Night Football spotlight against the New York Jets fuels the AFC East rivalry. The Bills' defense aims to stifle this Aaron Rodgers led offense in primetime. Last year, the Jets still played well even with their lackluster offense after Rodgers’ injury in Week 1.

Week 7: vs. Tennessee Titans | 1 p.m. | CBS

Returning home, the Bills square off against the physical Tennessee Titans. The Titans could be a sneaky good team this year. Will Levis has shown some glimpses of a good quarterback. By Week 7, we should know if the Titans are serious or not.

Week 8: at Seattle Seahawks | 4:05 p.m. | FOX

A cross-conference clash against the Seattle Seahawks on the road poses challenges for the Buffalo Bills. Especially when that means traveling to the west coast to then travel back to the east coast for Week 9 against Miami in Buffalo. Seattle could be another sneaky good team, ending the 2023 NFL season 9-8.

Week 9: vs. Miami Dolphins | 1 p.m. | CBS

This game against the Dolphins will be played at home and most likely will have huge implications on the AFC East division title. Being last game was on the road in Miami early in the season and this game is at home mid-way through the season, the NFL clearly wanted a more even playing field from a weather perspective.

Week 10: at Indianapolis Colts | 1 p.m. | CBS

A road trip to face the Indianapolis Colts presents a clash of potential playoff contenders. With Anthony Richardson back at 100% health, this could be an offense dual waiting to happen. The Colts are not a team to sleep on in 2024-2025.

Week 11: vs. Kansas City Chiefs | 4:25 p.m. | CBS

A highly anticipated showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs highlights Week 11. Allen's duel with Patrick Mahomes showcases two elite quarterbacks vying for supremacy per always. This is another game to circle every year, this time it’s in Buffalo. Hopefully our regular season record against the Chief continues, and our playoff record changes.

Week 12: BYE WEEK

Week 13: vs. San Francisco 49ers | 8:20 p.m. | NBC

The Bills lucked out to host the San Francisco 49ers after a bye week in a Sunday Night Football game. The 49ers have been a Super Bowl contenders for the past couple of years. This game should be a battle and hopefully the Bills come out on top.

Week 14: at Los Angeles Rams | 4:25 p.m. | FOX

A West Coast trip to face the Los Angeles Rams presents a formidable challenge for the Bills. Sean McVay and the Rams are always a hard-fought team. No matter their record up to this point, they will be a tough team to face off with especially in their home.

Week 15: at Detroit Lions | 1 p.m. | CBS

Another tough task. Traveling to Detroit, the Bills confront a scary Lions team. The Lions finished 12-5 last year and they’ve seem to have only improved this offseason.

Week 16: vs. New England Patriots | 1 p.m. | CBS

A late-season clash against the New England Patriots carries immense divisional and playoff implications. If the Patriots are anything like we think they are this year, this could only be classified as a trap game.

Week 17: vs. New York Jets | 1 p.m. | CBS

Nothing special to talk about here. The Jets are always a feisty opponent. Hopefully the Buffalo Bills can go 2-0 against these New York Jets.

Week 18: at New England Patriots | TBD

What a weird way to end the season. Last 3 games are in the AFC East. All three of these games the Bills will be expected to win as this is arguably the “easiest” three game stretch they have.

A Season of Challenges and Opportunities

The 2024-2025 Buffalo Bills schedule is filled with challenges and opportunities for the team. From prime-time matchups to divisional rivalries, this year, every game seem to carry even more significant weight as opposed to other years. We can only hope for the best and root for the Buffalo Bills week in and week out.

Only 114 days until the season opener (not that I’m counting).

Go Bills.
