Week 4 Game Recap: Buffalo Bills Squish the Miami Dolphins, 48-20

Before delving into the game itself, it's essential to consider the anticipation surrounding this matchup. Josh Allen boasted an impressive 9-2 lifetime record against the Dolphins, adding to the excitement. The Dolphins, undefeated at 3-0, had showcased their scarily potent offense by scoring 70 points against the Denver Broncos in the previous week. Meanwhile, the Bills had dominated their prior game against the Washington Commanders with a convincing score of 37-3.

Josh Allen's Sensational Display

We must begin by acknowledging the brilliance of Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who had an outstanding game. He completed 21 of 25 passes for 310 yards, tossing four touchdowns and earning a perfect passer rating of 158.3. Allen's exceptional performance was undoubtedly a cornerstone of the Bills' victory. Ken Dorsey deserves major props for calling a magnificent game.

Dominant Defense

The Bills' defense also deserves commendation. Players from all defensive levels stepped up, including the defensive line, linebackers, and secondary, contributing significantly to containing the Dolphins' offense. DaQuan Jones is the pass rusher who most stood out. Jones was putting pressure on Tua Tagovailoa all game long.

Tre'Davious White's Injury

A significant setback has been confirmed for a crucial member of the Buffalo Bills. Cornerback Tre'Davious White's MRI results have revealed a torn right Achilles, as disclosed by coach Sean McDermott during a press conference on Monday afternoon.

McDermott regretfully announced that White will be sidelined for the remainder of the season. White sustained this debilitating injury while defending wide receiver Tyreek Hill during a crucial fourth-and-1 play late in the third quarter

Stefon Diggs Shines

Shifting our focus to the Bills' receiving unit, Stefon Diggs stood out with an exceptional performance, scoring three touchdowns on 6 catches for 120 yards. Diggs also had a great Stone Cold Steve Austin celebration along with breaking the Dolphins’ DB’s ankles multiple times on his 55-yard touchdown.

Running Game and Offensive Line

The Bills' rushing offense was praiseworthy, offering a balanced attack to complement the passing game. The offensive line's work in both pass protection and run blocking played a crucial role in this success.

The Buffalo Bills secured a resounding victory against the Miami Dolphins, with their offense and defense displaying remarkable performances throughout the game. This was the biggest game of the year. While both sides of the ball played a phenomenal, the win was heavily spoiled due to the heartbreaking injury to Tre White.
